Cancer Engineering Lab at the Japan Cancer Association (JCA) Annual Meeting!

We are thrilled to share that our outstanding students, master student Hung-Chi Hsu 許紘齊 and Ya-Hsin Hsu 許雅欣, and medical students Kuan-Cheng Chiu 邱冠幀 and Chiu-Hua Kuo 郭九華, successfully presented their research at the JCA Annual Meeting in Kanazawa. Their excellent work gained recognition and has been selected as the Young Investigator Poster Award Finalist!

Congratulations to Kuan-Cheng Chiu 邱冠幀 and Chiu-Hua Kuo 郭九華!

We are excited to share that our outstanding medical students, Kuan-Cheng Chiu and Chiu-Hua Kuo, have been accepted as Visiting Medical Students at Johns Hopkins University in Dr. Laura Wood’s lab this summer. This valuable experience supports our lab’s goal of integrating innovative tumor models with patient-derived tumor organoids to advance more clinically relevant applications. We wish them a productive research experience and an enjoyable summer in the US!

Congratulations to Dr. Su! Dr. Su has been awarded the first major research grant for the Cancer Engineering Lab under the Emerging Young Scholars track of the 2030 Cross-Generation Young Scholars Program 2030跨世代年輕學者方案-新秀學者, funded by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), Taiwan. We sincerely appreciate this prestigious four-year grant, which supports our innovative research and accelerates our lab’s mission to engineer new strategies for combating cancer recurrence and metastasis.

Before the Cancer Engineering Lab

2022

Dr. Su earned her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University in October 2022 and continued as a postdoctoral fellow at Johns Hopkins University until April 2023.

2016

Dr. Su started pursuing her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering in the US.

2012

Dr. Su completed her residency training in pathology and received certification as a pathologist. She then shifted her career to academia and began working on cancer research at Academia Sinica in Taiwan.

2008

Dr. Su earned her M.D. degree from Kaohsiung Medical University, Taiwan and Physician certification.
